  GOLDEN TEMPLE- COORG        The Golden Temple is a Tebetan settlement of Namdroling Monastery,  located at Bylakuppe, 5 KMs from Kushalnagar in Coorg District,  Karnataka. This settlement was built in 1963 for the refugees and monks of  Buddhists from Tibet.       Entrance Gate of the Monastery      A four storeyed building with a large wheel(this represents buddhism) is another attraction in the monastery. Four story building with wheel This monastery is a main teaching centre for Buddhism. Hundreads of children study Buddhism in this temple. Teaching Buddhism inside the temple The main attraction inside the temple are the statues of Lord Buddha in the centre and Lord Padmasambhava and Lord Amitayus on either sides.  These statues are made of copper and plated with gold.
